The band pays tribute to old-school black metal without becoming a cliché. Their music is exactly what I want when I want to listen to straight-up Second Wave black metal. The riffs were memorable and weren’t diluted by too-long run times; the drums were resonant and powerful without being overpowering, and the songwriting was excellent overall. Même les plus braves peuvent être frappés par le doute : la musique devient alors le nouveau guide, la catharsis salutaire. One Thousand Years Of The Wolf, seconde démo de Kommodus, est aussi belliqueux que la première. Si elle a été composée pendant une période d'angoisse et d'instabilité mentale, Lepidus Plague, au lieu de serrer les dents, hurle à gorge déployée ("Beyond Hadrian's Wall" est phénoménal pour ça). Les riffs sont impitoyables et ne concède pas de terrain. Bref mais excellent ! Jordan Vauvert
